Territory Sales Representative

 

Are you looking for a business development position with an established and growing, sales driven company? TEAM SPORTING GOODS, Inc., is seeking a Territory Sales Representative who is highly motivated, service oriented and who can find and cultivate new business opportunities and facilitate growth with existing accounts for Southeast Wisconsin.

 

Team Sporting Goods, Inc. is a full line institutional athletic dealership located in Marshfield, WI. We provide hundreds of schools and athletic organizations all across the Midwest with a wide variety of athletic products for all sports. We also have an in-house art and screen printing department that can create distinctive designs for any garment or occasion.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Contact area schools, businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events

  • Cold-call new sales leads

  • Develop and enhance existing relationships with customers in order create repeat business

  • Provide excellent customer service; answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability and product uses

  • Address any problems that arise with an account, utilize problem solving and trouble-shooting skills

  • Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, competitors’ products, prices and sales

  • Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives

  • Work closely with internal staff to complete orders (order entry, purchasing, accounting, art department, print shop and shipping)

  • Communicate with vendors via phone or email and utilize online tools to determine product pricing and/or create mock ups

  • Other tasks include: preparing quotes and bids, writing up sales orders, and using internal software system to check inventory and track orders

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc.

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. to and from office, home, car, and customer locations

  • Work independently and maintain flexible schedule

  • Attend sales meetings, vendor presentations, and clinics as requested

  • Provide own cell phone

  • A minimum of 1 year of sales experience is strongly preferred; willing to train individuals who demonstrate outstanding communication skills, strong work ethic, motivation and desire to be successful

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and staff
